Welcome!
Each year Volunteer Lay Pastors (and Volunteer Pastors) are required to complete 20 hours of training/continuing education. During our current situation (2020-2022) the 20 hours can be completed in the following fashion:
1. Attend monthly local classes the Coordinator provides (or your local pastor) and implement as appropriate.
2. Be available for monthly phone coaching/assignments with the Coordinator for working through ministry matters.
3. Complete approximately 4 hours of online classes (or .4 CEUs if you are using the Adventist Learning Community platform).
In order to get the 4 hours of training beyond what the Coordinator offers, you must choose online options. For those who attended the February Elders Engage Zoom training, that will suffice the 4 hour requirement (you can also watch it online if you missed by going HERE). However, you must fill out the "Online Learning Log" below after attending/watching the Elders Engage meetings. For all other learning options, please see the instructions and forms below.

a. Go to the webpage
b. Select one of the videos on the Homepage or from the "Playlists".
c. Watch the video and utilize any other resources that are included
d. Fill out the "Online Learning Log" below and keep track of your hours until you complete 4 hours.
2. Ministry TEAMS Resource page: TEAMS Resources - TEAMS (ministryteams.org)
a. Select a resource
b. Decide how you are going to use it in your ministry
c. Use it and fill out the "Teams Resource" page form below.
3. Adventist Learning Community: Adventist Learning Community - Home
a. Create a login
b. Go to "Dashboard" and select "Send a CEU request". Complete the process and have the request sent to murray.miller@nccsda.com or if that does not work, then complete the "Online Learning Log" below.
c. Complete the course
d. Complete the "Online Learning Log" below.
4. Reading of Books: You get 0.1 CEU for every hundred pages read and would need 0.4 CEUS (or 4oo pages) to complete the 4 hour requirement.

5. In-person Adventist meetings (VLP Bootcamp, Church Planting Bootcamp, etc.):
a. Attend the class and take notes.
