Church Readiness
Rationale
Some churches would like the continuity and coaching available via returning to a lay-led and TEAM approach to ministry at the local church (for more information please click on the "Mission/Vision" or "Biblical Foundation" tabs). In short, the longevity of ministry and fulfillment of the words of Jesus to go out "two by two" (and to pray for more "laborers" because the Harvest is plentiful) can more readily take place through intentional training of both the leaders AND members of each local group/congregation. The end result is that ALL the members of the local church/group (both leaders and members) know basic proficiencies in ministry (see the Home page for a brief description of these areas). To read more about the Rationale for Lay-Led and Pastor-coached churches, please read the document that is available HERE. Below are the processes that are being launched or may be developed soon:
Ministry TEAMS Readiness and Training Process
1. First, after praying about making a change in the way your group/church does ministry, please contact Pastor Miller and express your interest in the TEAMS program. Once that occurs, he will interact with your leadership team/pastor/leader, provide a presentation outlining the program, and in most cases arrange for the administering of the Church Readiness Survey (the CRS will be available in online or paper formats).
Please note: The overview of the program and CRS will be given to EVERY member of the local church or group, not just the leadership team. If you have read the Rationale for Lay-led and Pastor-coached churches, then you have a general idea of what will be covered. You can also read the Overview of the Program HERE.
2. Second, once the surveys are completed (or if it is deemed necessary to proceed without the survey component) Pastor Miller will interact with your Conference/Board or leadership team to develop a transition plan.
3. After Church Readiness:
a. Pastor Miller will provide monthly coaching to your entity, church or leader.
b. There will be surveys at various intervals of the program implementation.
c. An overview of the some of the components of the strategy will be provided.
d. Periodic local leadership training events may be provided as time allows.
